Day 10 Summary

Parthenay
86 Kms
597 vertical metres
No mechanicals
Wine 5
Cup  Geoff and Lawrie lost after 1.45 Kms

Beautiful ride out this morning, great light and cycled into Montreuil-Bellay to be greeted by a magnificent vista of chateau, silky river and a trout fisherman in the middle.
Coffee at St Martin de Sanzay at a typical country tabac....old chaps drinking beer at 10.30 ( not us ) , the truck delivery chaps calling in offloading and having a quick beer and cafe before heading off to the next stop.
Struck it lucky for the lunch shopping with it being market day at Thouars. Shopping was easy... A bit of debate as to where to stop....majority ruled .
Some big vistas today....serious sunflowers , lettuce fields etc.
Hotel booking back  on track...we have learnt we need une chambre double et deux chambre aux lits jumeaux.
Great meal at restaurant Tuffard , early night.
